For protein foods especially, convenience often comes at the cost of flavour, texture, and nutritional integrity. We didn’t want to solve convenience by compromising food. That’s why we created oomamee — our ready-to-eat tempeh deli slices — as a way to make real food easier to eat, without changing what tempeh is.

Why oomamee is prepared after fermentation
Tempeh is defined by fermentation. That’s where its structure, flavour, and digestibility come from. At Tempeh Goodness, fermentation always comes first. We ferment whole-ingredient tempeh using traditional methods, and only after fermentation is complete do we prepare oomamee. oomamee is cut, seasoned, and baked — not restructured or ultra-processed. Nothing interferes with fermentation, and flavour is added intentionally rather than engineered. It’s tempeh that’s been thoughtfully prepared, not transformed into something else.
How oomamee fits real life
oomamee is designed for everyday meals. It fits naturally into work lunches, quick weeknight dinners, wraps, bowls, salads, and family meals. Because it’s already cooked and seasoned, it removes the guesswork that often keeps people from trying tempeh. There’s no marinating or planning required — just open, heat if you want, and eat.
